Sour Gummy Worms
1.       Sour Gummy Worms:: This gummy bear inspired treat was created by Trolli in 1981, as a sweet treat for children while shocking their parents.

2.       Skittles:: Skittles were first made commercially in the 1974 by a British Company &were introduced to North America in 1979 as import confectionery.

3.       M & Ms :: Mars & Murrie (of Hershey’s) invented the idea as far back as 1930 during the Spanish Civil War. During WW II M & Ms were sold exclusively to the military.

4.       Nerds:: Did you know that Nerds breakfast cereal came out in the 1980s, but had a short life.


5.       Nipps:: Are over 70 years old, originally know as Pearson NIPS in the 1920’s. By the fall of 2000 Nestle bought the brand and gave this smooth creamy caramelized treat a face lift and shortened the name to Nips.

6.       Tootsie Pop ::  A rumor began that lollipop wrappers which bare three unbroken circles were redeemable for free candy or even free items like shirts and other items. The rumor was untrue, but some shops have honored the wrapper offer over the years, allowing people to"win" a free pop.


7.       Gold Mine Gum :: An SP Enterprises confectionery from the 1990, was founded by Saman Alan Popowcer and continues to be a family owned & operated enterprise.

8.       Crispy Crunch :: This delicately delightful treat is currently only sold in Canada,but during the 1990s was available to the US for a brief time. With Cadbury taking over the brand it is just a matter of time before everyone can enjoy the crisp sweet dissipating flavor peanut butter/chocolate.

9.       Starburst:: This solid but its juicy ‘pack of contradictions’ has been making mouths water since 1959 as Opal Fruits in the UK, until they burst through the US candy industry as Starburst in 1967.

10.   Licorice:: Some scientific studies suggest that excessive amounts of licorice may adversely affect both IQ and behavior traits in offspring during pregnancy.While, Alexander the Great supplied his troops with rations of licorice root whilst marching, because of its thirst-quenching qualities.
